The Atlantic Forest in Brazil is considered one of the world's most endangered tropical forests, with only 7% of its original area remaining. Tropical forests play a special role in the global climate change fight. By planting 1 tree in the tropics, about 1 ton of CO2 will be taken out of the atmosphere over the course of the tree’s life. The Plant a Billion Trees in The Atlantic Forest reforestation effort will remove 10 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere every year. That's equivalent to taking 2 million cars off the road.
Please help Ecomodish reach our initial goal of planting 1,000 trees in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil this year. You can work your way towards planting trees by becoming active on ecomodish.com and earning ecoPoints. For every 100 ecoPoints you earn, Ecomodish will plant one tree through the The Nature Conservancy's Plant a Billion Trees program.
